Influencing and Negotiating

As a manager, it's likely that you'll often need to negotiate with other people and persuade them to, for example, accept an idea of yours. In these situations your influencing and negotiating skills are paramount.

Course Objectives

When you have completed this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain and apply the principle of negotiation.

  • Recognise the importance of non-verbal communication and social skills in effective negotiation.

  • Influence people to achieve identified objectives.

  • Reduce resistance and minimise conflict.
